My husband and I recently booked 2 nights at Howard Johnson expecting a clean, comfortable room. What we actually received was quite different. The 3 chairs in the room were extremely dirty, covered in disgusting stains. The matress on the bed sounded as if it were sitting on a piece of plywood, the slightest move caused it to creak beyond belief. Every time myself or my husband turned in bed, it woke the other person up. It was unbearable. It did not appear to be on box springs. The handle on the toilet was broken, the toilet ran all night. The glass on the picture on the wall was broken. The carpet had an overabundance of large stains in it - needless to say we had to use the towels on the floor in order to avoid stepping on the stains of god knows what. It was definetly not what we expected and we checked out the next night to move to the Hampton Inn - which was wonderful and only $* more - we will never stay at another Howard Johnson again.

09/17/2009It was not a very updated hotel but it was fine and the people there were really nice. it worked ok for our needs, but was nothing to brag about... ...
