Although it is still labeled the Sandpiper Beach Hotel, it is now officially called the Ocean Resort. We had some difficulty locating the hotel because of the name change. This hotel after the remodel is one of the best we have stayed in. They are very committed to a "clean" environment and the rooms are well done. All natural soaps, hand lotions, shampoos and conditioners are provided. Our room featured patio doors to a small patio over looking the ocean and mountains, great for the morning coffee. Easy to walk to the beach front to sit on chairs to watch the ocean and the mountains. Breakfast served on china plates. No sticky, goey rolls. Toast with butter and a variety jams was excellent. Staff very nice. A short drive into town and the wonderful Campbell River area. Highly recomend Patti Finns resturant in town on the docks. Will not have a bad experience with this hotel choice. It was so great!

I recently stayed at the new Ocean Resort, formerly known as the Sandpiper. I was thoroughly impressed with the new upgrades and amenities done by the new owner, former Kingfisher Spa onwer.I can't wait to revisit when they have the new Meditation and Yoga centre, located on the property, up an running. I will be back to visit again.I recommend going back here to see the new changes, especially if you have been here before.

I recently stayed at the new Ocean Resort, formerly known as the Sandpiper. I was thoroughly impressed with the new upgrades and amenities done by the new owner, former Kingfisher Spa onwer. I can't wait to revisit when they have the new Meditation and Yoga centre, located on the property, up an running. I will be back to visit again. I recommend going back here to see the new changes, especially if you have been here before.
