  This venue served our purpose wonderfully. The price was right! Location to town required a car, but the short distance was a beautiful drive. Very difficult to find a bed and breakfast in this area which provided two separate beds. The Ledges was one of the few that did. There were water views from our room, but not accessible. The room was very quiet; I felt secure and safe. A continental breakfast was provided every day - a very nice touch. There was a swimming pool, but we did not use. I am a N.E. native, but live in the SW now. One forgets just how beautiful the N.E. states are. It was a great get-away. I would recommend for those on a budget.

  My room had clearly been recently renovated, and the furnishings were comfortable and attractive. the binoculars for bird watching and checking out the bay were a great extra touch. breakfast ...

  My room had clearly been recently renovated, and the furnishings were comfortable and attractive. The binoculars for bird watching and checking out the bay were a great extra touch. Breakfast wasn't much, but that left more room for lobster later in the day. You can pay a lot more in this area and get a lot less.

  For the past 10 years we have tried to arrange our yearly trip to Maine to include a stay at Ledges. We love the large rooms, the colored linens, spotless and clean, but most of all the patio deck off each room to relax after a day of driving and the view of the bay. Sunrise is awesome too.This trip was a full moon and the water just sparkled and diamonds danced in the moonlight.
