Very dark and old. It was clear no money had been spent for updating or maintenance in quite a while: Cigarette burns on the furniture, stains on the upholstery and a monorail that worked only part time. It was cheap but all by itself in the desert.

i thinks it's a great hotel. i've stayed there a few times now. it's a little away from vegas but it's a lot cheaper then vegas hotels. it's a great atmosphere and there are other hotels there also. Next door at buffalo bills there is usually a concert or something going on. they are all very friendly and make the stay nice. hope to visit them again soon. the rooms were very nice and clean also. Thanks for a great stay!!!

We checked in and gave a credit card for incidentals. What we were not told was that the card would be charged to be refunded later if no charges were incurred. We used a VISA debit card so, unknown to us, cash was deducted from our checking account and we never incurred any incidental charges! The clerk did NOT tell us this would be done - we would have left out Mastercard if we had known. She couldn't even speak clear enough English to direct us to the elevators. I have never had a hotel pre-charge me just in case I make a phone call or something of that nature. Housekeeping was asked 3 times to bring extra pillows. Never happened. Tony Roma's at Buffalo Bill's 'lost' our dinner reservation for my husband's birthday so no dinner and no one cared about it. We were told we could go on the list at that time but the wait was 90 mins. Customer service sucked and employees are not friendly when you encounter them in the facility. The hotel/casino is dirty and needs serious TLC. Pets are allowed but guests do not seem to care if they don't behave - like the cat in the room next door that began to scream at 6:00 am. Valet was a joke - only one man on duty most of the time and he was NOT at all friendly. The Terrible Herbst corporation could use some lessons in how to run a hotel from some of the big boys in Las Vegas or just get out of the business. Next time I travel there to see a concert, I will just drive back to Las Vegas to spend the night. An EXTREMELY disappointing experience!

We will definately stay there again. The room was pretty big and clean. The pool was really fun for our kids, with a nice water slide. I liked the view from the 14th floor, as I could see the pool & the freeway with all the travelers coming to Vegas. Check in was fast as was the check out. See you next time at Whiskey Pete's!

Whiskey Pete's was the most inexpensive place I have ever stayed near Vegas (or anywhere I believe) and it really shows. It?s sad really. The room was actually pretty good, clean and comfortable (unlike other reviews). The Casino and dining rooms were nice looking, and looked like a fun place. . The TOTAL lack of customer service ruined it for me. At every opportunity the staff of Whiskey Pete?s dropped the ball. Issues ranged from cold food in the dining room to warm beer from the bar. Maid took the blanket one night when she cleaned, but it was back the next night. Ice machine was not working on the first 6 floors of my wing. The staff?s solution was for me to roam the floors, checking for a working machine. The pay-by-the-minute Internet Kiosk I needed to check in for my return flight was not working, but the friendly staff of Whiskey Pete?s told me it was not their equipment, not their problem. The Manager was less helpful; she gave me the wrong number to call (refused to call in herself). Luckily I was able to drive 12 miles and use another casino?s FREE Internet to check into my airline. The pool has a cool looking slide, but was sadly closed. No idea on when it would be fixed. Kids were VERY disappointed. Oh, the outside pool and hot tub is closed Monday through Thursday. Read and pay attention to the other low reviews. This is not a five star resort for a reason.
