I've stayed here before and couldn't wait to come back. Everyone is still nice, the property looks great, it's still clean, the rooms are still large and comfortable, including a great working desk. My home away from home in Iowa, to be sure. This time I got to take advantage of the evening appetizers and welcome drink, what a fantastic way to be greeted upon check-in!

After a long day at the state fair, we were looking forward to relaxing and getting a good night's worth of sleep. When we arrive around 11:30 pm, we inquired about upgrading to a whirlpool suite and the desk clerk joyfully complied and gave us a super deal, to boot! Our worn out bodies sure enjoyed the whirlpool, needless to say. He even gave us phone numbers of a couple pizza delivery places that were still open at that late hour. We arrived too late to enjoy the pool, but we took a peek and it looked nice. The next morning we were pleasantly surprised with the ample and delicious continental breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were awesome! We were in want of nothing with coffee cake, cold cereal, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, juice, milk, coffee...even hot chocolate and cappucino. We will definitely stay there again.

Everything about our stay was very good. We would definitely stay here again. This hotel offers a menu of pillow options and this was a wonderful choice. Beds are comfortable and the room had a lot of room to move about in. Wonderful stay.

I booked based on other travel online reviews and the competitive price. It was excatly like everyone else said. Clean and comfortable. The wackey decor is...well...wackey, but way more interesting and fun than your average holiday inn. Perfect location for an I-35 north/south road trip.
