The rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel's indoor and outdoor spaces were very clean and well kept. The grounds were very clean. There were plenty of clean towels in the hot tub and sauna area. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone. Of the hotels we stayed at on cape cod, the carriage house provincetown has to be the best, not that the others weren't great, the carriage house has very nice rooms, welcoming entrance, looks lovely from the outside, and is conveniently located. We were on the 2nd floor and had 2 rooms as we went away with my in-laws. Our room faced out towards the street. The room had only a queen bed (a little bit small for me & my husband as we are used to sleeping in a US King), however it was beautifully decorated, very clean and had a very nice bathroom. There are coffee/tea facilities in the dining room all day good for us Brits who like to make a nice cup of tea! My in-laws were staying down the corridor in a larger room on the corner. The room had four windows, however because of the close buildings around, the view was probably better from our room.

The Hotel owners were very friendly & accomodating. They thought of all the details from Molton Brown bath products in the rooms to ice cold minted lemonade in the afternoons. The breakfast is a big bonus too complete with made to order waffles, quiches & fresh fruit.

We got used to being served a fantastic breakfast every morning, to meeting all sorts of interesting people from europe and across the us. the rooms are well appointed and clean, our's had it's own private patio which was great for my husband as he smokes. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the town. We will definitely return.

We arrived on cape cod only to find the inn we booked four months earlier had given our room away and were unable to accommodate us, it was labor day weekend and every hotel was full. We called around and heard a rumour the carriage house might have something. It turned out to be true, a last minute cancellation had freed up a room. We would have taken anything but were very surprised how nice it was when we arrived. It was cheaper than our original hotel and seemed to have all the same amenities and in fact a much better location. They were so friendly and helped us enjoy the rest our vacation. Not sure what we would have done without them. Our experience may not be usual but we got the impression from all the other guests they were also happy with their choice. We look forward to returning to cape cod in 2009 and our first choise will be the carriage house.
