Stayed here for Family Weekend at Carleton. Arrived very tired after long trip from east coast. Staff very friendly and helpful - moved my room to a quiet area of hotel due to big party. VERY comfy bed, great pillows, nice water pressure in shower. Next morning enjoyed the large hot tub all to myself. Elaborate pool area with mini water slide, etc. which would be great for the kids. Easy to access internet in business room. Short drive to breakfast and restaurants, although did not explore as we had plans in Northfield. 10 minute drive from Carleton/St. Olaf. Hard to improve on this hotel! Will definitely stay again.

Until I arrived at this property my trip had been challenging. I was greeted at the front desk and made welcome -- more than 95% of the hotels where I stay. The hotel services and neighboring community were all explained to make my next few days work better. The next morning I complimented the manager on the selection of his staff. The front desk staff made my first return to a Inn in decades worth repeating frequently. Thank you.

Since Holiday Inn Lakeville finished their remodeling, my family stays here quite frequently and ranks high with my 4 and 6 year-old boys. Why? We adults love the two queen poolside room with the fridge and microwave in the TV hutch, and the marble look counter and tub surround, along with the plush, soft towels in the bathroom. We also love to see the look of excitement on our kids' faces when they play at the mini water park at the center of this hotel, with its zero-depth entrance kiddie pool with several waterplay areas and slide, tube slide, water basketball area, and hot tub, located in a quaint, subtly lit (which is great for parents of autistic spectrum kids) indoor French Quarter style courtyard. Hotel staff is courteous and the lobby's decoration adds to the French Quarter influence. Rooms are nicely appointed with ample pillows on the queen beds, a lounge chair with wood side table, chair and writing desk, and a large wood armoire that holds the TV, mini-fridge and microwave, along with several drawers for storage. The rooms are just the right size for a family of four, and the amenities serve our family very well. Whenever we go to the local pool, my four year old asks if we can go to the hotel pool, instead (referring to the pools at the Lakeville Holiday Inn). What better promotion can any business ask for?

This hotel is new, has nice rooms and isn't very expensive. However, if you have any desire to sleep, do NOT get a poolside room. Every night people would be poolside past midnight and kids would start playing shortly after the pool opened at 8:00 am. It was very noisy, the rooms did little to block out the noise. So you can't go to bed early, and you can't sleep late! If you can't get a room away from the pool, don't bother to stay here.
