We arrived around seven o'clock on a Saturday evening after driving from Copper Mountain. We had reserved a quiet room and it was indeed quiet, with only the neighboring guests' television slightly audible. The room was clean and the bathroom was the usual. The tub looked like it had years of wear, but the shower curtains were new and cheery. The pillows were comfy and so was the bed. We had a room on the sixth floor that had a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the lake at 6:00 a.m. The breakfast was not free, but the buffet breakfast was delicious and only $12:00 per person. Children eat free at this location, too. Parking was a challenge after 9:00 that day due to a reunion being held at this location. A garage/gas station is conveniently located near the hotel, so if you had car trouble or needed gas, you would be set. The hotel is right near I=70 and close to restaurants. They also accept pets, but our room had no indication of that and I never even saw a pet all night. The pool and hot tubs were indoor, but appered to be clean. Just don't get a room near them due to noise factor. Arcade and pool table, air hockey were also available. What a deal!

July 2, 2009 we rented two adjoining rooms. The hallways were dark and stank of cigarettes; decor filthy, damaged and dated; rooms smelled strongly of mildew; water damage around windows; peeling surface on tubs; furnishings cheap; box springs in one room ripped open on sides; no controls for AC; cable stations mislabeled or missing; no clock in one room. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of this property.

The first room we were given the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. The room was dusty and the walls and carpet was dirty. The next room had clean sheets but was not much cleaner. You could not pay me to stay here again.

We stayed here for a one night ski trip/getaway from Denver. Everything was fine until we checked the bank record and realized we were charged double!! They charged for 2 nights and we only stayed 1. I thought it was a simple mistake with a simple solution. But after countless phone calls and emails, they only refunded me half of the 2nd night (the night that I was sound asleep in my apartment in Denver). The General Manager has ignored all of my phone calls and emails and his staff is only authorized to refund half. So when you're calculating the cost of your stay, go ahead and double the cost because they may rip you off.
