We haven't stayed in a Days Inn in years after our son stopped playing with a traveling baseball team. Most were filthy with pizza boxes left under the bed, etc. I don't think I can mention the other things we found! However, the Wright Brothers facility was impeccable! I don't know what they're doing that's different from the others, but they could teach the rest a valuable lesson.

The Staff was awesome. If X is not there ask for X! They both were very helpful. We only had one night, but the staff was kind enough to let us park in their lot, swim in thier pool and check in early the day we arrived. The hotle rooms are small, but come on, you are at the beach. Bed, shower, fridge. what else do you need. The cookies, popcorn and lemonade were nice, but we enjoyed rockin on the front porch while munchin them.

Spent a long weekend here in Mid-April '09. Two adults, and two children in a room with 2 double beds. Not the largest room, but who comes to the OBX to stay in the hotel room. Easy access to VA Dare PKWY and the ""Strip"". Short walk to the beach from anywhere within the hotel. Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. If we ventured to the area again for a short trip, would definitely look into staying here again. Would consider a beach house for a longer stay most likely, since we have two teen/near teen children.

We stayed there three days last week leading up to Easter. You walk out the back door to the beach just past the dunes. It is less than a mile walk to the Wright Brothers site. The hotel personnel were very cordial at check-in and check out. They provided good suggestions as to where to dine with local restaurants rather then the chain variety. The room was clean and provided us with the necessities. The continental breakfast offered fresh coffee, waffles and pastries. I have traveled a lot and think the Days Inn Wright Brothers was a good choice. I will stay there in the future.

03/17/2009While the room wasn't overly spacious it was neat and clean. the king bed was very comfortable. continentel breakfast exactly as it should be, quick and easy.
