  Selected the hotel schloss berg based on location only ~ centrally located to the areas we would be visiting. made our initial reservation for one night ~ and stayed on!

  Selected the Hotel Schloss Berg based on location only ~ centrally located to the areas we would be visiting. Made our initial reservation for one night ~ and stayed on!
  
  This lakeside hotel is truly a lovely resort. While we visited in early Spring, we can only imagine how wonderful it would be in the summer.
  
  A bit pricey and worth every penny! The breakfasts (included) are delicious and the restaurant menu, altho small, is sumptious!
  
  The Schoss' mysterious past (King Ludwig suspiciously "drowned" in Lake Starnberg ...!) makes it that much more of a special place.
  
  Our room was -huge- by European standards, had a glorious balcony and lovely appointments. Go! Stay!
