This was our first trip to Cambridge and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The lobby level is filled with Americana memorabilia and everywhere I turned there was something interesting to look at. I especially enjoyed the handmade mosaic signs and wonderful artisan clock in the lobby. We had 2 meals in The Black Sheep restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Our waiter even took the time to give us suggestions on what places to see. After spending the day sightseeing we had the best sleep ever in the most comfy bed. Be sure to go to the top floor and spend some time relaxing in the atrium...very nicely furnished We will be back!!

I have stayed at the Kendall Hotel two times during the summer for one week long stays each time to visit my son, a student at MIT. This is my favorite hotel that I've ever stayed at for many reasons: very close proximity to MIT, Kendall station (subway stop), the Kendall Coop, and Au Bon Pain, the post office, the MIT Press, exceptionally kind staff, beautifully decorated in an antique New England style with vintage Americana toys and artwork, wonderful breakfast buffet included in room price, comfortable homey rooms with charming New England nautical and historic feel with good beds and desks in rooms, painted wood furniture, quilts, beautiful wall colors, each room unique, both rooms I stayed in were wonderful, windows that open for fresh air, high speed internet connection in room, computer with internet and printer available in lounge, and overall a very homey, comfortable, beautiful place to stay.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Kendall House. The location is right by the T, across from Legal Seafood with an adjacent parking lot. The interior design is very Cambridge - quilts, old new england furniture, rich colors - very homey. Breakfast is great.
