Me & my boyfriend arrived here on Friday morning at about 6am & the check-in was the best part of this trip. The front desk guy was very helpful. Once we got in the room we looked around and wasnt very pleased but we forgave them for it (bathroom is nasty). We decided to go eat breakfast around 8am and this is where everything went wrong. As we walked through the resort we noticed the unkept pool area with crap all over the place (inside and outside of the pool). The restaurant itself was dreary, gloomy like an elementary school cafeteria. The food wasnt appetizing or tasting. My boyfriend knew how disgusted i was and didn't want to tell my about the hair he notice in his last piece of breakfast potato but i already saw it and was totally grossed out.. The beach is about 10 min away via a walkway and once you get there you cant enjoy yourself cuz your gated in with an armed guard....they had stray dogs running around outside the private area because the rest of it is open to the public. This makes no sense because if youre on a beach you want to get into the water right....crazy! After this we went back to the room for a nap...woke up around 1pm got ready and went to the larger pool. We had a drink and sat down to observe the floating cups and filth in & around the pool. This was our last straw so we went back to the room got our bags checked out. PLEASE DONT BOOK HERE GROSS - I PROMISE YOU!

The worst ever!!Disgusting. We booked online on the basis of proximity to airport . Arrived at noon by cab from a cruise ship, check in staff confused and unorganized. We had our copies of confirmation and they still took nearly an hour to get our check in done. Did not want to give us wristbands untill after 3:00, but finally convinced them that as we would be leaving at 5:30 am and would not be having lunch or breakfast the next day, we could have the wristbands. The buffet was horrible, food trays empty and tables not cleaned. Sent some time at the pool which was ok, After 3:00 went to get our rooms and had to wait another 40 minutes. They couldn't find our forms!!! No one seemed to know what was going on. When we did get to our rooms, we wished that we could cancel them. Sleeping at the airport would have been better. Rooms smelled musty and dingy. The sheets were clean, but the beds were hard as rock. Spreads had the same musty smell. Bathroom show stained and we would not use it. No towels until 6:00pm. Before dinner took the walk to the ""beach"". What a dirty mess. We left right away. Dinner was the same as lunch with a couple of additions. Still half empty food trays and some of the same chicken as served as lunch. Got back to our room and was greted with a bathroom floor flooded with water coming from the ceiling. When mentioned tothe front desk, it seems to happen frequently. We used the towels to mop up. We think that this hotel should be taken off your site. We will tell anyone considering Boca Chica to stay away from this place.

We stayed here for only one night after disembarking from a cruise and waiting for our flight the next morning. Wanted something close to the airport. Advertising in brochures and on site looked OK. What a horrible disappointment!!! We arrived at noon, before check in time and although we had booked and prepaid our reservation through online travel website and had our confirmations they were very confused and unorgaized. It took almost an hour to get this accomplished. They would not give us our wristbands until after 3:00, but we finally convinced them as we were leaving at 5:30 the next morning that we could have lunch that day. The buffet was gross!!!! Totally messy and unappetizing. Tables not cleaned and most of the selections gone and not replaced. We found out at dinner that the same itiems were served again, if not used up at lunch. We finally got into our rooms after 3:00 and had we not already prepaid, we would have gone and slept at the airport. I suppose 30 years ago these were nice rooms, but at this time were musty smelly and bathroom did not look clean. The beds were like stone!! The sheets were clean, but the spread had the same musty smell. While we were out for a walk to the most disgusting beach ever, we arrived back to water all over the bathroom floor. Someone upstairs had had a flood and it ran through the ceiling!! The fellow at the desk said that that happens. Used the towels to soak up the mess. Did not use the shower anyway as it looked so awful. I would not stay here again and do not know why you have it listed on your site. Friends with us will post their opinion as well.

Started out bad, arrived at night, room had ants all over and stool was leaking all over the floor. Had to wait until 3PM check-in time of next day for a room change, which had a broken safe, a man was sent over and informed me that there was a problem and left for what I thought was to get a replacement, never did see him again. Later that evening the air went out so had to change rooms again the next day. The power goes out 5 or 6 times daily, there's no air in the dining area and no matter how good food looks, it doesn't taste worth a damn when you have sweat running down your body! If you want your room cleaned before 4 or 5PM, you have to grab them in the hallway which seems to have priority over the rooms. Internet use will cost you 5 bucks for 30 minutes and that's outside in the heat too! If you have an early flight, bring your own alarm, you can forget about a wake-up call.
