  I was very impressed with the Hotel itself. The hotel was large and very well kept. It looked pretty fancy for the amount of money we paid to stay there for 4 nights and the room was large. Plenty of elbow room for the three of us gals that stayed there and the beds were heaven.The location was a bit far from the city but you can use the free shuttle to get to the airport then take the train. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel if you don't want to stay in the center of Amsterdam; but make sure you have transportation money. If you stay out late and need to use a taxi. Take the train the airport then catch a cab. It is far less expensive than from the city. Make sure you don't get charged more the 20 to 25 euro.

  A colleague and I stayed here on our way back to the United States from Africa. Unlike some other reviewers, we had no trouble locating the shuttle to the hotel, which is situated about 15 minutes from the airport. We were surprised by the size of the hotel and the number of travelers staying there. This meant that the checkin lines were almost always long and the staff very harried.
  
  I had reserved a suite, but when I arrived at my room I found that it did not fit the description. When I complained, I was given the suite I had paid for, only to find that unlike the simple rooms, it did not have Internet. I therefore requested to change rooms again and was given a free breakfast as compensation. Upon arriving at the room, I found the pins of the Internet cable connection bent and thus non-functional. Finally, on changing to a fourth room, I was able to connect to the Internet. To their credit, the staff tried their best to make things better. However, I was tired from my travels and a bit grouchy after two hours of trying to settle into my room.
  
  I strongly suggest staying in the city instead of outside on the motorway. The trip into Amsterdam is exceedingly simple and takes less time than waiting for the shuttle and then checking into the A4.
