The resort need some updating. We transferred from a timeshare condo for one night. The room was to have a microwave and coffee. No microwave was provided because they kept blowing the breakers. That is not really what you want to hear. For a Royal King Suite it was very disappointing as far as the cleanliness, bed linens, bath linens, room furniture and deck furniture.

We extended our stay while in Aruba and had to change hotels, so we chose the Mill Resorts as a convenience for location and for the price. I checked several reviews and was completetly suprised that noone mentioned how terribly thin the walls between the rooms are. My husband and I had to change rroms twice as people who were located next to us sounded as though they were sitting right in our room!! The staff was very accommodating and for that were are grateful. Overall, the hotel needs some updating, unless we were located in an ""older"" portion...the bathrooms ect just didnt seem very clean. I guess I can sum it up with. ""You get what you pay for""

Both my travel companion and I are young professionals and we were looking for a relaxing but energetic getaway. The other guests at the hotel were friendly as was the resort's composed staff. We enjoyed the clean pools, fun activities, and close proximity to the beach, public transport, and the action of the high-rise hotels. While the loud bar and thin walls were less appreciated, neither were of much concern to us. I would not recommend The Mill to anyone traveling with children, anyone looking for an uber-romantic experience, or anyone who has trouble moving about. What you will find here is a great value, close to everything and perfect for enjoying Aruba (as opposed to enjoying the inside of a hotel).

My girlfriend & I stayed at the Mill during Presidents week and were pleasantly pleased. Clean rooms, cozy, warm, ultra friendly service and off the "busy Strip"; only a 5 minute shuttle to the beach. Not a place your young singles looking to party, the Mill is for seasoned mature travelers that know a good bargain & don't need 24/7 room & concierge service and swim up bars. I will go back in a heartbeat!

Close to the high-rise hotels area where there are a lot of tourist activities and the beautiful beaches. To go the beach, either on foot for a 5-minute walk or talk the hotel's free beach shuttle. Hotel staff is okay not particuarly cheerful in greeting you. Hotel room is clean and comforable. Comparing to the high-rise hotels in the same area, this is a very nice price for the location. If you mainly stay in the hotel areas, you can either take a taxi or the public bus (which is very good and cheap), there is no need to rent a car. If you live in a condo with kitchen and you would like to cook, there is a big supermarket right on the main bus route to downtown, where they have everything.
