Needs to be more detailed with housekeeping

Upon check-in, there was a dirty washcloth still in the bathtub. During the stay, the housekeepers didn't empty a full can of garbage one day nor did they leave a bath mat or adequate toilet paper, resulting in a late night run to the front desk. The breakfast was decent each morning. If you choose to stay here, try to request the top floor---we were on the first floor, and Big Foot was in the room above us. The location was great---right across the street from the Destin Commons mall, and on the same side of the highway as the beach, which was within walking distance. Outback and Barnes and Noble are right next door, too. It was much cheaper than a condo, and if it's too cold to hang out on the beach anyway, why spend the extra money?

I was very impressed with this hotel. Beds were super comfortable, bathroom spacious, plenty of towels, etc. and temp adjustable right at your fingertips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the topper!! Nice little buffet with eggs, bacon, biscuits, sauage & gravy, bagels, enlish muffins, breakfast muffins, cereals, yogurts, juices...just everything...and it's FREE!! Couldn't ask for better than that! With it's location across from Destin Commons and other shopping strip malls, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Holiday Inn Express always seems to have consistently good hotels. After a string of "not what we expected" hotels during our trip, this final destination was just what we needed! It was very roomy, clean, and inviting. The beds were comfortable and we loved the microwave/frig/coffee pot area with cabinets.
The hotel is not directly on the beach. However, it is only a block from the beach and it is a very easy walk. Breakfast was good and the staff was very nice.
Our friends that we met up with paid $* a night for their condo. Ours was a much better value for the money and I would definately stay here again..... probably next year! -

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Destin for the weekend with a couple of friends. My boyfriend's friend couldn't stop saying what a great location the hotel was in. It was close to the beach, Destin Commons was right across the way and Silver Sands Outlet was down the highway. We enjoyed our room and the beds were comfortable. I must say the only problem with was the noise up above our room. The hotel only has 3 floors our room was on the second floor and their room was on the third and they still heard loud noise above their room.
