The hotel was very nice. Our room had a view of the river and was nice hearing the water rolling down stream. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay. The same thing every day for six days got a little old. You need to get to the breakfast early, because they run out during the weekdays, because a lot of contruction workers stay there and they eat all of the breakfast and the servicer is a little slow refilling the items. Also, make sure you get back to your room before the contruction workers get there in the evening, because you might not get a parking place. Sometimes, the maid would forget to leave you your towels or empty the garbage; but the front desk took care of it right away. Sometimes, I don't think the maid cleaned the room at all, just made the bed and put new towels. You might need a car to get to downtown Dillsboro, but it is only 1 mile away with a few good places to eat. The shops close early, but not the restaurants. Make sure you eat at Kostas and the Smokehouse. Or you could drive to Sylva, which is maybe only 5 miles away and eat at Bogart's or Waffle house. Overall, the Hotel was nice; but for the money, I was expecting a little more. The location was great to get to Cherokee, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other cities. The Hotel was in a quiet location and no traffic. The hotel is next to a railroad track, but we never saw or heard a train pass.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything about this hotel. The room was wonderful (I highly recommend getting a room with a river view). The shower was great, the towels were luxurious. The staff was pleasant. I had a small problem upon checkout, the general manager was on duty and quickly fixed my problem, then gave me his card in order to contact him in case it was not resolved. The breakfast was great. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, it was perfect after a strenuous 10 mile hike earlier in the day.

Indoor pool and spa nice for arriving back to my room later in the evening. Can cool off after workking out. Nice equipment in fitness center. Loved working on my balcony watching the river roll by my room. Never knew work could be so relaxing. I would definatly stay there again.

Fabulous location on the Tuskaseegee River...make sure you reserve a riverside room. We had one on the 2nd floor riverside (hotel is 3 stories high) and it was worth it! Very clean, beautiful views, convenient to Appalachian Highway to the Smokey Mtns or anywhere in western NC moutains. Comfortable bed; hot breakfast with egg patties, sausage, biscuits & gravy, belgian waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was perfect. The view of the river was awesome. We originally had booked a non riverview but the clerk was very accommodating and changed our reservation to river view at the same price! The bed could use a new mattress, however.
