Stayed in one of their "upgraded" rooms which meant it had a microwave and a mini fridge that made a lot of noise all night. Got used to the fridge noise after the first night, but the room was directly over the 24-hour pool, and the rooms were built so cheaply that the sound almost amplified in the walls.
We would have slept better if the adjoining room would have had a raging party going on. There was loud talking, yelling, screaming and sounds of bodies hitting the water, coming from the pool. At about 11:30pm, I finally walked down to the front desk and demanded to be moved to a quieter room. The clerk assured me that he would tell the people in the pool to be quiet.
They were quiet for about 10 minutes and then it started right back up again and lasted until well after midnight. We were so sleep deprived, we cancelled our 6am plans for the next morning. However, we still couldn't even catch up on our sleep because the pool noises started up again at 7am.
It is my understanding that 10pm is the standard "quiet time" just about anywhere you stay. This is not the case here. Also, there is no enforcement of the pool rules such as no shouting, no cannonballing, no running, etc.
Room was semi-clean except for the bugs and dirty cracks in the bathroom walls and floor. Housekeeping staff changed the linnens but did not restock the coffee. -
