We would stay here again. The room was clean and compared to any Super 8 or hotels like that. We only stayed one night, so didn't use some amenities, but had coffee, a fridge and microwave in the room (no continental breakfast, though), there's a grocery store and other stores across the parking lot, and they provided a free shuttle service. We thought the price was too high, but had joined a free hotel discount program and got $* off the rate. I didn't rate staff and service higher because I don't like it when they can't communicate with us (only spoke Spanish).

When I arrived - the room I reserved did not have a king bed. The desk clear said I would have to use a double. My name (if it was for me) was spelled with numerous errors --- I would have no proof it was really me. Then the desk clerk expected me to pay for the room a 2nd time --- at an amount over the what was quoted and what I had already paid for on-line. I was going to give the motel a chance - even after reading the other reviews --- I should have paid attention and listened to what they said. So, I went across the street and got a room at "The Way Inn" Motel for less money from someone with excellent customer service skills. I will never attempt to stay at the Oak Tree nor will I ever suggest that anyone else ever stay there. Customer service should be number 1.

We had called a couple weeks ahead for room. We did not arrive to the hotel until 9:30 p.m. and were greeted with the news that our room was not ready yet. The housekeepers were still cleaning. They were totally stripping the bedding. I guess that was a little comforting. Beds were very uncomfortable. We got wakeup call for someone else and also automated call for some truck driver at 4:30 a.m. Not much sleep for us.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is much nicer than the photos show. The only complaint that we had was that the sheets didn't seem to be as clean as we'd have liked them to be. Otherwise, the room was very clean. Very basic ammenities. Fridge & microwave was nice. Also, the cable tv had tons of channels including HBO. Right next to Safeway.
