The location is awesome so I planned on a late check out for the rest of the family to meet us and be able to spend the next day at the beach front. Was told this would be an agreeable $* more. The night in the room was just horrible. We itched all night long. The blankets werent even clean.The remote didnt work and the blow dryer wouldnt turn off without being unplugged. The next morning I went to the front desk and was told they didnt really know what to do but to wash the sheets and have the room sprayed. I have a feeling they moved someone right in though since they told me my late check out was no longer available. Our plans were then ruined. The location was so beautiful I really tried to make it work but the hotel spoiled the weekend.

We just returned from the Marina Resort with our girls ages 4 and 6 and had a wonderful experience! The location can't be beat- right on the lake and steps from the village. Families with young kids should stay on the first floor where there is easy access to the lake, pool, and a large sand and grassy area for the kids to play and run around. There are also swings for kids and adults alike right at the water's edge. Big Bear has lots of family friendly things to do in the summer- We will definitely be returning!
