We reserved a non-smoking room here overnight based on the positive reviews from other travelers...but things must have really gone downhill since those reviews were written. First, we (two women, one obviously pregnant) were given a third-floor room and told the elevator was broken and even though the front desk person "offered" to help us with our bags initially, he did not follow through when we brought our things in. There was dirt and mud all over the carpet in the stairwell. Upon arriving in our room we realized it was a smoking room, and the hallway was filled with the smell. We put pillows & blankets at the base of the door to keep the smoke from coming in. We settled in a bit and realize what a FILTHY MESS the room was - carpet had not been swept for quite some time - found garbage under & beside the bed; the bathroom literally had grime on the floor & shower; and someone's used washcloth hung over the shower curtain! The beds, at least, were clean (we think). It was after 10:00 p.m. when we arrived and we were too tired to lug our luggage back down three flights of stairs and leave (as we should have). But we called the front desk person to let him know these things - we were told "all the rooms on the third floor are smoking" and we received a sarcastic "thanks for letting me know!" when we told him about the filth. Then he hung up on us!!

This place is adequate, but that's about it. We were pre-booked for a non-smoking room. The air smelt nasty, and one bed looked like it had been used for a nap (pillow pulled out and mussed.) We found ash trays, a cigarette butt on the floor and matches. We opened the window and used air freshener to be comfortable. When we asked for fresh linens we were told the last person had only been in there a minute, then made a fuss about the cigarette stink. Staff still insisted it was a non-smoking room. Not what I expect of a recognized major hotel chain!

This Super 8 was convenient and adequate. No special amenities. Limited continenental breakfast. When we arrived in late afternoon, there was not one single car in the lot which made us wonder if it was an operating motel. However, it did fill up overnight! Recommend this motel for people who don't want to spend a lot of money on an overnight stay. Desk people were quite friendly.
