  I recently stayed at this Sandman while visiting Regina for a funeral. One of my relatives had called to book a block of rooms at a reduced rate. Normally I would not stay at the Sandman, but we all wanted to stay in the same hotel to be close to each other. Big mistake. First, my reservation was messed up. I specifically booked a large suite since my mother wanted to share a room. Upon arrival I found a small suite booked for us. Second, I slept on a pull-out couch. Not only was it horribly uncomfortable, there was no blanket in the room for it! Third, despite the do not disturb sign only being up until 10am housekeeping did not bother visiting. We had to call down to the desk to get fresh towels and coffee--and they still did not take the old towels away. The best surprise was saved for check out. I received a good rate for the first night I stayed, but was charged more than $* for the second night. This is certainly not a rate I associate with a Sandman property. It took two days and an email and a follow up phone call for a manager to phone me back only to leave a voicemail. That manager then went on vacation and I had to deal with someone else. I will NEVER stay at this Sandman again.

  We had a discount for this hotel which was the only reason why we stayed here. We got a king suite and were suprised at how clean and well decorated the room was. There was ample room for my husband and I to move around in, the decor is beautiful (real glass tile in the bathroom) and the staff were so helpful and welcoming. We were suprised to find such a nice hotel in Regina and the pool is not a bad size either. Lots of towels available too. Will go back again if ever in the area (even without the coupon).
