In all of my travels, I have never stayed in such a decadent hotel. While it is not an inexpansive hotel, I do believe that you get what you pay for. The bed was one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in during my travels. The balcony that faced the beach was utterly beautiful. I MUST recommend dining at Victoria's, the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The chef does take a while to prepare the food, but for breakfast, you will get the best and largest omlet that you have ever had! It was almost as if when you walked into the lobby (the doors of which are held open for you by the door man who is wearing a tuxedo), that you were stepping onto the Titanic... The staff were very cheerful and helpful also. I actually prefer staying here at the Boardwalk Plaza much more than when I stay at the St. Regis in New York.

I stayed at this hotel in Oct 2008 to attend the Jazz Festival. This is a well -acquainted Hotel with many comforts. The staff is friendly and attends to your every need. Food is good and hot. They have a delightful lounge and bar with the best tasting irish coffee in the area. Rooms can be expensive, but the great service and comfortable furnishings eases the pain.

I was very impressed with the Hotel, everyone was nice and helpful from the minute we arrived. Our room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were soft and the towel's were wonderfully thick.

Boardwalk plaza is outdated, faded, dirty, smelled of mildew, broken t.v., flies in room. Small, rough bath towels and the side with a view we were on overlooked a bar that was loud. Other patrons were at the front desk w/ complaints along with me and management was extremely rude and bragged of their 4 diamond service and did not help anyone.

It needs lots of updating. The carpets are very old and smelly. The bathrooms need to be overhauled and the decor needs to be at least dusted. The staff was very nice. How can they charge that much a night and get away with it? I give it 2 diamonds.
