Ushuaia is a stunning place to visit in the winter (June), and Patagonia Villa is a beautiful place to stay. Both the town and the cabins actually exceeded what the guidebooks and websites led us to expect. A ?deluxe cabin? was a romantic place for a 20th anniversary trip: thick lenga timbers, stone, fireplace, huge windows facing snowy mountains in Chile across the Beagle channel. An easy 20 minute walk into the town center. What you may remember most, though, is the warm and thoughtful attentions of the proprietor.

Luciana Lupotti speaks terrific English and is a tremendous help in making travel plans. She and her lovely family make staying in Ushuaia a pleasure. Cozy cabins, fireplaces, lots of hot water, and peace and quiet.You can walk to town, or taxi-- pretty easy. Not, however, for the physically challenged (lots of steps). But we loved it!!!!!
