good location

Hotel Das Cataratas was located inside the national park on the Brazilian side of Iguacu Falls. You do have to pay the park entrance fee of $12.50US per person while being transported to the hotel. The hotel is a beautiful old colonial, quite impressive, and is located across the street from the falls. From the bell tower, which you can climb, you get an outstanding view of the entire area. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was very good. We ate in the bar for dinner to keep the cost down. The rooms were on the expensive side but because of the location, we thought it was worth the price. The garden courtyard area was also very beautiful. The hotel is undergoing a major remodeling, one section at a time, so beware, the pool wasn't open and during the day it was quite noisy with construction but we were at the falls all day so it didn't bother us too much. I would stay here again because of the convienent location to the falls.
