    After having a bad experince at another hotel in Port Richey we were so grateful for Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa. The staff was friendly and helpful, I even had one laughing. :) The beds were so comfy my three year old wanted to take one home. The pool was so much fun for the children. The hotel is very clean, some minor stains on the hall carpeting, and the room was very spacious.

    I was shocked to see this hotel only rating a 2.5, honestly it was clean, friendly and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, actually we ate there every day. We had never visited Cocoa and the staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions. In the evening we would come in after a long day of baseball, (Cocoa Beach Expo College Spring Training) and there would be fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the counter. The hot tub was awesome. Rooms were clean. PLEASE UPGRADE THIS RATING TO AT LEAST 4.5 they deserve it.

    I stayed here 1 night with girl-friend before taking a Bahamas cruise. We did not have a reservation, but were easily accomodated and at a competitive rate. Hallways carpets look like they ought to be replace; but the main lobby was modern, attractive, & clean. The pool area & our room also were very clean. Plenty of pool towels were available. The front desk staff was very polite. GF used the "business center" room to check her e-mails & such without difficulty. The pool & hot-tub is secluded (back of the hotel) and shaded; not good if you want to sun-tan, but good if you want to keep cool. Location was otherwise excellent: short walk to Cocoa Beach pier, shopping, restaurants, beach, etc. Easy drive to the cruise ship ports the next morning.

    The staff were incompetent -- problems with the reservation at check-in and even at check-out there were problems with the reservation. The carpets were filthy, the beds old and uncomfortable. The iron in the room didn't work and it took the staff an hour to bring a new one to the room. I left a day early because the hotel was so bad. Not only will I not stay here again, I will not stay at any Holiday Inn ever again. And, they double-billed my credit card for the room.
