The Hampton Inn is in the old downtown section of Grand Junction, right next to the convention center. Nice, modern property - large rooms, comfortable beds, everything clean and good smelling. There are a number of good restaurants just down the street - easy walking distance of a few blocks. There is a 'City Market' supermarket across the street that has a Starbucks located inside. Overall, this is a nice and very conveniently located property whether you are travelling or going to a conference at the convention center. The free hot breakfast was a little weak, but that is really the only small quibble with our stay.

I had a reservation for a few months and have stayed in this hotel many times with my dog. When I made my online reservation, the Hampton website said "Pets Allowed". Then when I checked in, I was denied my room because of my dog (a mini dachshund no less). I explained everything and was still not allowed in. We stayed next door at the Hawthorne Suites and it was much nicer (and pet friendly). They use real china for the delicious hot breakfast buffet, not paper products like Hampton. Breakfast was much better too! Oh, this was all on a Saturday night, the busiest night around. Won't stay again.

Grand Junction Hampton Inn
07/03/2007The rooms were outstanding, with feather pillows and a down comforter. the standard roomwas superior to many upgraded rooms in places we've stayed.

when we first drove up to the hotel, we were a little concerned. We arrived at night, and it looked like it wasn't in the best of areas. When we went into the hotel, we loved it! The rooms are quiet, no smoking smell anywhere. I would of given it a 5 rating, but the parking is in a lot outside the hotel...we have a new car, and being from CA we were concerned.. but everything was fine.
