Great location and the rooms very comfortable. We had a king room with lots of space. We used the frig and micro heavily and found them to be in good working order. Bath area is dated as is the carpet, but the room is clean. Parking can be busy with lots of cars coming and going. Breakfast was ho hum. No real good places to sit near eat bar area,, You go into a separate room to eat. Limited make your breakfast; area so you are stepping on and over other guests trying to get your food together. Staff very helpful, especially Stephanie. Pool area a little dated as is the hot tub area, but it works. Watch your step getting in and out of the hot tub area as very large step drop off. I am 6 ft and the hubby is 6'8" and we both sunk to the bottom of the hot tub over our knees! Friends under 6 ft had a tough time getting in/out of spa. Overall, this is a good place to stay for the money. We would stay again.

I reserved a block of rooms for my wedding party for last week / weekend. I called June 11th to cancel the rooms I did not need, per the hotel policy to cancel any rooms 30 days prior to the arrival date. On my wedding day, my maid of honor tried to extend their stay by a day. Ms Kim, the owner and manager, said the rooms had already been booked by me. My maid of honor was surprised to hear this and put me on the phone with Ms. K immediately. Ms. K took a very rude and nasty tone with me throughout the conversation and said the only way to resolve this would be to produce a cancellation number; which I was never provided when I called to cancel. I tried to stop her several times, telling her that I was getting married in a few hours and it was not the time to be spoken to so rudely. Ms. K quite simply would not listen and just did a broken record request for the cancellation number. I attempted to explain who I spoke with on the 11th when I cancelled the room, but Ms. K didn't care one bit. Ms. K charged our credit card nearly $1,000 for the rooms that we cancelled. We have the phone records showing when we called to cancel, but the girl at the front desk when we called didn't give us a confirmation number so Ms. K has refused to reverse the charges because she said she was completely full that weekend because of my room block; she claimed she had to refuse vacancy as a result of me. The funny thing is that my fiance was in the lobby shortly after and listened to her book another guest!!!!!

Hotel was not at all what we expected. Once we arrived we were charged extra money. The manager was quite rude too.We booked a standard room with two queen beds, but instead they looked like doubles. The room was filthy. The bathroom was very small. In the four days that we stayed our room was never cleaned and we never had fresh bedding or towels put in the room.We had to ask for fresh towels one day, and a trashbag on another to empty our own garbage. As far as the extended continnental breakfast, the only good thing is the juice, sausage and waffles. The location was great for what we had planned, but the freeway was so close that it was extremely noisy inside the room.We will never stay here again !!

Three couples stayed at the FCI in mid-July. The rooms were great! Very comfortable beds and the WiFi was excellent. The hot breakfast is outstanding; it far exceeds that of many large chains. They do very well for a smaller property. They have items for those who prefer something more hearty and for those who prefer something lighter (and healthier!). Close to the ferries and Deception Pass Bridge. You will need a vehicle to get to the ferries, as it is about 7 miles from the FCI. Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful in making the reservation and providing tips on places to dine and sites to see. My wife and I stayed here a couple of other times several years ago--they have gotten BETTER with age!

We were in Seattle for the soap box derby but wanted to stay away from the city -- this hotel was perfect, only about an hour from Seattle but excellent for relaxing and winding down. The location near the ferries is perfect but not noisy, and the rooms were beautifully decorated and cozy with comfortable beds. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff was helpful and friendly -- this place definitely made our little vacation extra special! We will be back!
