Don't EXPECT what you see in the pictures!

Just spent 4 days there...the only good things about this place is the view of the river IF you get a room on that side other wise it is the parking lot and the location. The bellman, house keeping and maintenance people were very nice. Front Desk people were very good at making excuses... our key cards had to be recoded daily and the front desk girls all have the same excuses as to why, how about they are old and scratched... I was with family and we had 5 rooms. 4 were together and mine was at the other end of the hall and smoking...the worst stench I have ever smelled. They would do NOTHING about making their mistake right. Offered me a nonsmoking room for another * a night. The sheets had holes in them, the duvet had holes in it, the bath towels were like sand paper. The service and food at Tomy Roma's fair at best. The buffet at the casino across the street was AWESOME! The water park is good for younger children but not older ones, very small and they use a LOT of chlorine. The hot tub was so strong it burned your eyes. The furniture in the common areas is torn and stained and the carpet just plain gross in many areas.

The staff was so very friendly. We dealt with staff from the front desk, gift shop, pool area, shuttle, maintenance and restaurant areas. They were all so helpful and friendly. The pool area needs a little updating but overall my daughter had a great time! The rooms and the hotel were very clean and updated. The bed was extremely comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from. It was quiet and such a beautiful view of the Mississippi river.

I stayed here as part of a state govt business conference. The room was clean and the view was beautiful. The service in the restaurant/bar was good. That's it for the good. Doing site visits to choose a conference location, we were clear - a wireless internet connection was REQUIRED!!! 150 people here for business purposes, most of which brought laptops to also work on their standard jobs. The hotel claims connection in every room. We had people spread throughout the hotel and I heard non-stop complaints about the connection being extremely weak, if not completely non-existent. If you're like me... staying in a hotel, I like to be able to bring a dvd player or video game, etc. to plug into the tv to unwind at the end of the day. Not here. For the 1st time, I've found the 1 hotel that intentionally disables the external inputs on the tv. They do this so you will be forced to get your entertainment from them. $16.99 plus tax for a movie. $6.99 plus tax PER HOUR to play Nintendo 64 (yes 64, not Gamecube, not WII). They want that fee to play Donkey Kong for an hour. Oh, and NO, there are no movie channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.). In summary, if you plan to spend any time in your room, plan to be bored to tears. If you wont be there much, why spend $***+ for a room in the 1st place

This was my second stay at this hotel. I booked here a second time because I wanted to give them a second chance and because we had a wedding next door in the river center. They wouldn't give a different rate without waterpark passes since we knew we wouldn't use the waterpark. The price is insane compared ot other hotels in the area and the service is slow and unfriendly. I will never stay here again aand wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We reserved a room for a winter get away kids 4 kids. The weekend we were to go there was a snow storm. that was within 72 hrs of check-in and they tried to charge the full amount instead of changing the date--and they still charged us the increased rate. During the stay, we were at the pool 15 minutes before seeing a young child (5?) lying on the side of the pool, blue, not moving, not breathing. Nobody helping. Disgusting. Not to mention bad food, rude people, not enough luggage carts. I will never go back.
