  The hotel was clean and in general it was in good repair. The experience that turned the tide for us was that our daughter took a drink of an expired (soured) milk from the breakfast area. This in itself was very concerning, but the reaction of the front desk people was very unprofessional. When we reported the issue to the front desk and alerted them that they should check their cooler area for more expired products, the manager at the desk immediately threw blame at the dairy who delivers the products, and even went so far as to NAME them. This seems like a very poor handling of the situation. Mistakes can occur, it was most important that instead of casting blame, he should reassure us that it would be checked over and apologize for our inconvenience. Perhaps even a coupon for a discount at our stay or something would have been appropriate. In addition, when we went to check out we had a question on our bill. The same manager advised that they couldn't do anything because we booked through website and he advised that we should not do that because we pay more. I hadn't heard this before. They handled our first stay by billing us at the hotel and the second night, they couldn't handle the billing because it was through site. We wanted to change the credit card it was billed to, but they could not help us with it. It was all very inconsistent and poorly handled. I would be very concerened if I were a business partner with this hotel.

  I had a very enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express while in Dickinson. Quiet, comfortable and close to everything. Frank made sure that there was plenty of breakfast choices available every morning. Good dining next door. I will stay there again.
