I recently held a conference at this hotel and was very pleased with the service. All staff members were extremely pleasant and accomodating. Conference attendees also stayed at The Hotel Providence for 3-5 days; the guests were very pleased with their experience, and all stated that they would enjoy staying there again. The hotel rooms as well as the conference rooms were tidy and well-maintained. I will definitely hold another function here and recommend out-of-town friends and colleagues to stay here on their next visit. Thank you!

We recently held a function at the Hotel Providence and everything went perfectly! The staff was flexible and attentive at all times! The food was great and the restaurant Aspire (in the hotel) was beautiful. I have held many functions in the past and have never had the type of service that Hotel Providence provided us. I highly recommend having your function at the Hotel Providence. I also had the pleasure of staying at the hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean. The hotel was also conveniently located near everywhere I needed to be in Providence. I would definitely stay at the hotel in the future.

I just recently was part of a team organizing a conference for about 80 people at Hotel Providence. I was pleasantly surprised. From a standpoint of someone who worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry for 10 years everything was above expectations. The attentiveness of the staff from the waiters/waitresses to the bellman to the concierge to the hotel manager was really beyond what one could expect. Every need, whether minor or major was dealt with in a quick and efficient manner, always with a smile and a "no problem". It really made the task of putting on such an event somewhat manageable not having to worry about the little details, when they are all done to perfection ahead of time. It was a pleasure working with them and we will be sure to contact them for next years conference, and any other needs. Also, rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food both in the restaurant and served during the conference was very good. Good job Hotel Providence, and thank you everyone.

The hotel building, over 100 years old, has been beautifully updated structurally, with minute attention to all the features of practical function and elegant decor. The room my wife and I stayed in was large, with two double beds, and beautfiully furnished. Great beds, elegant bath and bedroom furniture. The staff of the hotel as well as of the Aspire restaurant were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We were without a car, and the downtown location was perfect for us--just a few minutes walk both to the public transport center at Kennedy Plaza and to the main historic district, along Benefit Street. Strongly recommended!

We visited Providence to attend Waterfire;which was awesome;, booking three nights to allow time to explore the city. We stayed at the Providence Hotel based on the reviews and we were saddly disappointed. No specific complaints about the Hotel itself - it is an old, historic hotel but was well maintained; the staff was friendly. The room staff was always friendly and quick to assist. But the location was not at all desireable - the surrounding area was depressed and unattractive. We walked all over (it's a good distance up to federal hill) and were always a little uncomfortable in the area around the hotel. The area closer to the river and the Providence Mall was better. Other than Waterfire, nothing was as appealling as we expected. We did enjoy breakfast at the hotel's outside dining one morning, and that was tasty and pleasant. But one night in Providence would have been enough....
