The hotel is nice if you have a bunch of kids to enjoy the large indoor pool and the slides. The fitness room was decent and the breakfast was sufficient. I just thought the price ($115 including taxes) was high for the area on a Sunday night.

The lobby is very nice but you can't judge the rest of the motel by that. The rooms had holes in the walls that were temporarily patched but not painted. In our particular room, they had put a new bed in but there was still dirt on the wall where the old one had hit the wall. There was so much excess furniture, it looked like the room was actually a storage closet for excess furniture from all other rooms. It was difficult to even get out the door to the pool. Walls were dirty. The customer service was absolutely atrocious. When we complained about the shape of our room, they just ignored us and actually started waiting on other customers without responding to us. Another customer standing there was as disgusted with the quality of their room as we were and said they would never stay there again. We inquired about the guarantee and they then said we would have had to take advantage of that when we first got to the room. We had tried to check in that afternoon and they said the room wasn't ready so we checked in after the Medora musical which was about midnight. We thought it was too late to disturb anyone about changing rooms. Our big mistake!!! We had paid for the room in the afternoon without being able to see the room. We will never make that mistake again, especially at any Quality Inn. We have never encountered a customer service rep more rude and obnoxious as the woman at the front desk when we checked out.

We chose this place because it was about halfway home, accepted pets, and had a pool for our travel-weary kids. We had a flat tire en route, at roughly 9 pm. We had to sit around on the highway and then again at the service station, so it would have been best to not have to continue all the way to Dickinson. But both travel agency and hotel said over the phone, if we didn't cancel by 4pm, forget it! Word to the wise, know ahead of time when you might have road trouble, travellers!! Plan accordingly. We had ordered a 2 room suite and were given only one regular room, so several kids had to sleep in sleeping bags on the questionable floor. And of course we were too late to use the pool at all. They accepted pets, but had no grass anywhere acceptible for walking our dog, and the adjoining property had all sorts of signs posted, "no pets". After this trip I will use neither hotel, nor online travel website again.

Advised of broken pool at check in, not offered opportunity to cancel...104 degrees outside. No discount, staff could care less. Bare bones continental breakfast. Fifty year old Ramada Inn that should have been bulldozed before Choice Hotels decided to make a couple of bucks.

A great place to stay. The staff was so helpful in making an unscheduled stop a better experience. The hot waffles for breakfast where a nice touch. Close to the museums and other dining. Smiles on employees faces - what a change from other places we have stayed in. Nice room decor.
