I have a hard time believing anyone could have a bad time here. We have been 3 times and it gets better all the time. People are so nice and they bend over backwards for you. The people that complain about buffet are probably regulars at old country. You get 3 night of specialty restauants and have not had a bad meal.The rooms are kept clean and bar stocked. As far as mold you are going to run into that time to time as you realize it does get muggy down there. So take it from me it is awesome beautiful ground with snorkeling kayaking bicycling etc free We will be back for 4 th visit then you get every night out in specialty restraurants. So the naysayers stay in Florida and pay 3 times the amount and decide every nite were do we eat?

My husband and I went here for our five year anniversary and had a fabulous time! The buffet was great, the people were nice, and there was always a place open to find something to eat or drink (24 hour beach snack bar/bar was great!) The option to be able to relax or have a day adventure is another added bonus. Every room is also a very short distance from everything, beach, food, drinks, pools, you name it! And a lot of the rooms also have an ocean view. We are already planning our return trip!

Overall a good experience. Beach and pools were great. The bar service was good. The grounds were fantastic. The rooms are more like an american 3.5 star, but the rest of the resort is a 4-5 star. Management could improve on customer service, they seem to be lacking in overall care of the customer. The food was good, but never fantastic. I would recommend this hotel and I think at its price point it is an excellent choice. I would go back again.

This was a fun place to visit. The hotel, grounds and rooms were very nice. It really was an excellent value. Liked the beach set up and all the ammenities. The Hacienda was a nice added feature. We felt very safe here. The buffett's were so-so. The only real issue we had was no access to internet connection. We felt seriously misled on internet availability. It hampered our trip. We really needed a straight story from the hotel on this and did not get it. Otherwise we had a wonderful time in the area and the all inclusive resort made it very easy. I would go back. My husband would not (only because of the internet). We would recommend it to others. Our expectations were in line for the price we paid. It's a good place for families and people of all ages. We had great fun.

We just got back from a trip to this resort - Tulum. It was immaculate and very beautiful. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Way too many smokers though - we could not get away from smoke. They left their butts all over the place too. We were never given the key to our mini bar, so we had no idea we had access to drinks 24/7. Our fault for not doing more research. Make sure you bring long pants thought - you will be tossed out of restaurants if the men are not in long pants.
