  For years I have had to stay in the dumpy lodging on Ft. Knox and in Radcliff. The only diining consisted of filthy, fast-food joints. This hotel changed my whole attitude about visiting this quaint little post. The Holiday Inn Express is a 15 minute drive south of Ft. Knox, but it is almost to E'town, the nearest place to modern civiiization. You will end up going there for groceries, food and entertainment any way. The clean, new rooms and the friendly staff made my stay a pleasure. Great towels, toiletries, showers and a choice of soft or firm pillows. The toilets, a strange design, sometimes need a second flush. You can commute on to post very easily and you can access the hotel by a drive down 65 and the Joe Prather highway. Unless you like touriing past the run down bars, adult book shops and used junkers along 31W, you will enjoy this easy drive in from the Louisville Airport.
