My wife and I stayed at this hotel because it was conveniently located near Hudson, right off interstate 94. The upstairs rooms were actually quite large. The TV was new, and there was both a microwave and refrigerator. The rooms were clean. Those were the high points. Unfortunately there were more low points for us. Our staff consisted of two people who would occassionally be there to answer the buzzer, and weren't very knowledgable about the surrounding area. When I asked about restaurants nearby, I was told there wasn't much available. Turns out the bar attached to the hotel was also a grill, and there was an outstanding Irish restaurant only a block away. But we had to find these things out for ourselves. They advertise "Continental Breakfast", which consisted of coffee, a can of dry creamer and 3 doughnuts wrapped in plastic. You'd better be there at the right times for even this, after 7am or before 10 am! The soda machine in the lobby was almost empty, so I had to visit the bar for take out drinks. The maid was also trying to clean our room an hour before our check out time. I got the impression she was trying to rush us on our way, which is not what I expect for my money. The Air Conditioning was marginal, so I recommend bringing your own fan in the summer. Oh yes, and you'll also need to bring your own alarm clock!
