The photos do not depict the hotel, at least not the exterior. The castle is the Bold Castle, just in case you thought is the hotel. The hotel is an ugly square building, looking more like a Russian office building, so maybe that is the reason they were trying to hide that. Also is nowhere near the river, all you can see from your windows is either the parking lot, either a swamp ... However, the hotel seems new, so the rooms are clean, and so the hallways. The continental breakfast is a joke, but don't forget you are not at the Ritz...

This is one of the newer if not the newest hotel in Gananoque. It is very well kept, clean with all inside rooms and friendly helpful staff. A nice complimentary breakfast is served every morning with some hot foods, beverages and pastries. The pool was okay, but a bit shallow on the deep end. The hotel is within short walking distance of a few resturaunts and even downtown if you are feeling energetic. I would have expected to pay a bit less for a small town hotel, but it was within reason of other places. The area has no shortage of inns, motels and B&Bs, with pricing and quality all over the scale. Compared to what else I saw around this was the best all round deal.
