I booked this room for my two daughters who were coming to Rapid City for a Renewal of Vows Ceremony at Sturgis for my wife and I. the kids got to the hotel at about Midnight and found the room not particularly clean with a used bar of soap in the shower (with hair on it) and a dirty towel on the floor. There were also no clean towels in the bathroom and they had to call and request them. The next day, the girls went to Sturgis for the event and got back to the hotel at about 6:30 p.m. to find that their room had not been cleaned For the price that was paid for this room and the horrible service and room, I was disgusted and had I been there, would have demanded a refund. Rodeway is part of a very reputable chain of hotels and this a ""black eye"" on thier collective reputation. The room should have been cleaned on both days and the girls offered compensation for the inconvenience they experienced.

When I arrived my room was not ready (8 PM). The cleaning crew had not finished cleaning my room and had just left. I asked for a different room which was unavailable and the office said that they would try to recall the cleaning crew. A couple of hours later they finished in my room. The rooms were fine and the place was clean. The supposed continental breakfast was a joke. The problem with the cleaning crew in my room seemed to be an usual experience. Because the room is very nice, I would probably stay here again.

The hotel is well kept and staff is helpful and friendly. It is in a good location for the Wild Mustang Sanctuary and Custer State Park. Breakfast is not overly impressive. Dale's resturaunt across the street is very good and reasonable. would stay at this hotel again.

This motel is one of the older motels. I would guess it was built about 35 to 50 years ago. But, it is very well kept and the rooms were spotless. The motel is located at the top of the hill on a main highway so it is easy to get to all of the sights in the Hills. We only had two complaints. The breakfast was not quite a breakfast--orange juice and donuts. The air conditioner was loud. We will be back.
