This hotel is very nice. It is currently being updated with new furniture, wood & stone floors and new paint. The room was clean. The king bed slept well. We stayed in Rm 36 which is an oceanfront room and the view was awesome. The balcony is screened in so you can sit out in the evening and not have to worry about the bugs. You need to be aware that these are apartments and not a "hotel room" meaning it is stocked with all the basics (dishes, dish towels, bath towels, etc...) so you will have to make the beds yourself and they do a laundry pick up on Wed. to replace all used towels and linens. The water in the bathroom shower never got really hot, so we took lukewarm showers. The pool is located on the side of the resort instead of the back, which is a bummer. It is always nice to be able to lay out at the pool and view the ocean too!! The beach is perfect... we were there a week and never felt crowded at all. There is a movie theater right across the street which was great for the evenings. The Crab Shack (which is about 5mi away) is a great place to eat.. very reasonable and kids 12 and under eat free!! Over all is was a great trip and we would stay here again!!!

A very nice place to stay right on the beach. We were there on New Year's Eve with 2 kids (ages 9, 16), and wanted to stay away from party hotels but on the beach. Although they were very particular about who would be in the rooms, I appreciated the questions and knew it would be a quiet place to come back to after having dinner in the party atmosphere by the pier. The bed felt like a rock to sit on, but we actually slept very well on it. The room was very clean and spacious. Would have been nice to have an iron in the unit. Otherwise, it was a very nice place. I only wish we'd had more nights there to enjoy the pool and more of the gulf. It is about 3-4 milies south of the pier, close enough to be able to enjoy the pier activities with a 5-10 minute ride while still being able to come back to a quiet place. I highly recommend this place and would go back in a heartbeat.

03/25/2007Manager rude and condescending. beating on our door at 9:45am to tell my teenage daughter to ""step it up"" and get our stuff out as the room was rented. ...
Manager rude and condescending. Beating on our door at 9:45AM to tell my teenage daughter to ""step it up"" and get our stuff out as the room was rented. I returned from the store to find my family standing in the parking lot, luggage in hand. I could not go back up to check for personal items left behind.
