Great location-across the street from Coral Ridge Mall and close to Univ. of Iowa Hospitals. Problem was that I paid quite a bit more than others in the area in order to enjoy their advertised waterslide as well as the whirlpool tub. When we went to the pool, the slide was locked up. When we went to the whirlpool, it was much too hot to get into plus it had a smell that was a cross between urine and lake water. Breakfast was good, more than your toast and bagels, but the staff was helping themselves to the buffet more than guests.

Hotel is great overall. Clean rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast, super pool. But...there are train tracks directly outside the front door of the hotel. I wish I had been aware of this before booking. It's possible that if you are in the rear of the buliding, you wouldn't hear it as much. Only two trains went by during the night, tooting their very loud horns all the way. My 5 year old was woken up each time and was quite scared. If I were traveling alone, I probably would take it more in stride. But not great for the kids.

Me & 2 buddies roadtripped from Illinois to see Iowa/illinois football game. This hotel is the loading spot for the Hawkeye Express which for $10 roundtrip takes you right to Kinnick Stadium. We stayed in 2-bedroom suite with sofabed & has plenty of room. I slept on sofabed, it was very comfortable. Free breakfast included eggs, biscuits & gravy & more. Would highly recommend this hotel, especially suite rooms if you have 3 or 4 adults.
