    I chose this hotel because it states that they have an indoor pool and spa but i stayed there for 4 nights in june, 2009 and the pool is outdoors ...

    I chose this hotel because it states that they have an indoor pool and spa but I stayed there for 4 nights in June, 2009 and the pool is outdoors and there is no spa at all. If those are amenities that you want or need, be sure to call the hotel ahead of time to assure that what they say they have, they actually do have. The rest of my stay was nice, clean rooms, beds were very comfortable and continental breakfast was decent.

    There was a lot of traffic in and out in the lobby and pool and hottub area. Did not see that activity andwhere else. We were on the third floor. I would venture to say it was relatives of some of the hotel staff. In the afternoon after checking in I was relaxing with my bad back in the hottub with no one else in the pool area. I noticed the same thing at breakfast the next morning. Several folks that did not look like guests. Breakfast was not the quality we are used to having.

    I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to tour Birmingham, lots of eateries near by. Large rooms, very comfortable, decorated pretty. Nice area, friendly staff. Will stay again. Breakfast was good, staff available to assist
