  While my wife and I where skeptical at first, we where glad we stayed at the Pelican Pointe. The location is almost perfect. Yes, the beach is directly across the street. But the Pelican Pointe is actually closer to the beach than the other hotels that claim to be ""Beach Front"". The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to make our short stay an enjoyable one.
