A beautiful inn that was perfectly complemented by the warm, outgoing, and over-the-top hospitality of innkeepers Michael and Scott. Breakfast was the best we've ever had anywhere, hands down. Michael and Scott accommodated our schedule by customizing their attention to our needs--totally above and beyond our expectations. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was perfect for our stay - the place was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicous and the inn keepers were superb! The list could go on and on and on! I highly recommend The Inn at Grey Gables!

I would definitely recommend the Inn at Grey Gables. The location's fantastic -- it's right on Round Lake and a 5 minute walk from downtown Charlevoix (which has a number of excellent fudge shops).
The Inn itself is beautifully decorated. Based on their over-the-top website, I thought the decor would be a bit tacky (as bed and breakfasts often are), but it turned out to be quite tasteful. There's a large sitting room downstairs with comfortable couches, and the room that we stayed in (the Magnolia room) had simple and beautiful furniture.
The service was superb. The inn keeper really did everything she could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, from getting us information about hiking trails in the area, to making superb vegetarian breakfasts on request, to even brushing the snow off of our car in the morning before we left.
The room we stayed in was really reasonably priced; however, the bathroom was located in the hallway. The bathroom was private, and they stock comfortable robes in the room--so it wasn't much of an inconvenience. The rooms with connecting bathrooms cost slightly more. -

The Inn was very clean, beds super comfy (we had 4 adult women in the Henley Suite), breakfasts yummy, wine & cheese a fabulous perk. The new innkeepers spoiled us rotten. We're hoping to visit again next summer for our ""girl getaway""!
