I requested no maid service and the clerk wrote that on my card upon check-in. The next day, the clothes that I had laid out were folded and our beds made. Clerks insisted no one entered the room. Harry Potter must have been visiting for the weekend. Our card was cancelled due to fraudulent activity so we paid in cash. I paid half and my roomie was to pay the other half. We hadn't left yet, so hadn't squared up the bill. We came back to the room after dinner to find someone loitering in front of the door. It was the owner, who told me I had to pay or he would call the police. I informed him that I am retired NYPD and that he had no complaint as we hadn't left yet and that we were well aware that we had an outstanding balance and that I resented the fact that I was being treated like a common criminal. Some 20 mins later he followed me to the other side of the parking lot to continue the conversation. I informed him that I should be calling the police, as he was stalking/harassing me. We paid the remainder of the bill a short time later and went back to the room to discover the light that I had left on was off, and there was a note taped to the television screen on the motel's letterhead requesting payment. This was the second incident of unlawful entry/trespass. There were no exigent circumstances that warranted such entry, and the note could just as easily have been taped to the front door. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there as the owner seems to think he can enter any room at his leisure. I would certainly fear for my safety.

Stayed there couple of times this summer, had a great stay both the times. This place has very nice view of the mountains, great location. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, well worth the price. Will certainly stay there again, hopefully in the fall.

I chose them because pets were allowed. The debit card I made the reservation with was stolen so we would have to pay cash. My friend paid the first night as I got there after the office closed. We were also told that our room did not allow dogs - our reservation said PETS ARE ALLOWED AT $* PER DAY. Dog had to sleep in the car. We asked NOT to have maid service - yet our beds been made up, clothes that were laid out moved and folded. After dinner my friend got to the hotel first and found the owner lurking in front of our room. He had been there for some time as friends of ours in nearby rooms had noticed him and were nervous. He threatened to call the police. We paid and then we found he had gone in our room again and left a note inside. We felt unsafe and violated. Turns out he was the maid.

My husband and I are from Ma and spent the weekend at this hotel with our little daughter. The service was fantastic and extremely friendly. They gave us everything we asked for even a late checkout without an extra charge. The balcony outside our room is brand new and we were able to hang out there and look at the mountains. There was even a fridge in our room which made it much easier when traveling with a 1 year old...and we just had a basic room. They made us feel very welcome and we had a blast swimming in the pool and using the hot tub. Theres even a game room for when our daughter gets older. They are in a fabulous location right near Story Land and great shops and restaurants. I would recommmend this place to anyone and will definitely be going again! The family that owns the place are wonderful, hard working, warm and friendly people who thrive on making your stay a good one!

Upon arrival at the hotel. I was told there was a $15 charge per child over 12. Something not stated anywhere, even in their office. I was also charged $15 for a service dog. If you have a pet, they are allowed but with this charge per evening. The hotel room was large and decorated okay but nothing great. Basic furniture. Much to our dismay, the sofa bed was broken. In the morning, we discovered the shower was broken too. Not even sure if our bedding was clean, we found hair and other things in it. There really is no game room. It is a room with two broken down machines, no pool table. Lights were not even on at 5 p.m. at night. We told the front desk when we checked out and the owner did say sorry---however, with all that happened, I would never return. Nor would I suggest for you to stay here if you are looking for more then a place to lay your head.
