This was the first time I've ever been to an all-inclusive resort and I was not dissapointed. It was reccomended by a cousin of mine which had gotten married there the year before. He raved about how beautiful the property was and how great the staff treats you. My family and I went in June 2009 and it was the best experience ever. The staff bends over backwards to make sure that all your needs are met. The Junior standard suite was very spacious, clean and romantic. I would reccomend the supreme buffet for breakfast and lunch. For dinner we found that the restaurant by the beach was excellent. I am not a steak person but was hooked on the churrasco steak. I definately reccomend everyone to try it. As far as the drinks, you must specify that you want it hooked up with liquor if you want to get a buzz. The nightclub was ok but hard to be in becuase the strobe lights were ridiculously overdone. The after hours food spot has awesome burgers very tasty. If your looking to party you might want to ask about a local nigh spot off the property which I will be checking out next time I go in 2010. The entertainment staff was awesome keeping it lively on the beach and by the pool especially a girl by the name MASSIEL. She was great! One night that had a beach party at night with a live band which was the highlight of our vacation. We had a blast. My family and I loved it so much we extended our stay an additional night. we didn't want to leave. I am currently helping another cousin of mine plan her wedding there for 2010. I am excited about going

The first day we arrived at the Majestic and headed to our room the only bedside lamp was broken. We called and someone came to pick it up but never brought it back. After killing the fourth cockroach I called down to a very rude operator who states that they would send someone to come and take care of it. No one showed up because when I came back to the room the roach was still on the floor. I even saw a mice on the premise. On the fourth night there was no AC in the room. Nothing was done to accommodate. The operator was inappropriate many times transfering you without first letting you know what he was going to do so you were wondering whether or not you were disconnected. Many nights there were no towels. Every night I went to the club hoping that the DJ got better only to end up back to my room very disappointed. The "passport" book that they give you say that all drinks including national and international was included but then they tell you that it's not. This is even in their website. The game area was a mess and they had many missing pieces. There was signs of age on the furniture in the room ie. cracks, discoloration. The hotel rates themselves five star and when we arrived they were trying to get us to upgrade to the elegence for per day. The food was just ok. The entertainers almost seemed like they didn't want to be there. The dancers were inexperienced. The only show we really enjoyed was the Michael Jackson. The gym is small and most times very hot.

We just returned on Saturday and we had a great time. The resort is beautiful and the people are all so friendly. Victor, the bartender at the pool bar, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, funny and made sure that we always had a drink in our hand ;whether it be alcoholic or not;. Our room was fantastic and the restaurants that we went to were also very good. My 2 favorites were the Mexican restaurant ;where we ate for my husband's birthday; and the Gourmet ;the lamb was absolutely great;. Went to the spa for 2 massages ;try the Lymphatic, that was my favorite one;. The prices at the spa were comparable to other places I have gone. My daughter made friends quickly and had a great time. It is very child friendly. The only problem is, of course, getting good seats at the pool. You must come out early and save your seats if you want to sit near an umbrella. Same thing at the beach. But, I guess, this is normal at any resort you go to.

The hotel was fairly new, the front desk people were friendly, the room was serviced all day and kept clean and well equiped. Internet was available for reasonable charge. An effort was being made for daily entertainment. The beech was not that great; the ocean floor was part sandy and part rocks. The food was on the average side. Overall the place was very good. We enjoyed our stay their and we recommand this hotel.

We stayed at the resort for 7 days, it was quite a vacation, even though it rained for 3 days, end of Sept - hurricane season. The staff was quite accomodating and entertaining. No complaints on the hospitality. There was quite a variety of food, but they were unable to maintain the buffet HOT. One other problem I encountered, I had cash on me for the trip, when I decided to withdraw additional cash from the ATM at the resort, the ATM was down for the remainder of my stay - 5 days. The resort only has 1 ATM. We had to walk to another hotel to withdraw PESOS, and then the hotel was not willing to exchange it for dollars. Keep in mind that this resort is based on the US Dollar, and not the Peso. If you are traveling from any other country you will have to exchange your money to US dollars....Next time I know to bring enough US dollars for tips and other expenses, and not depend on the ATM at the hotel. The ATM at the other location is not that close and it does not feel safe.....
