As a parent of a Gettysburg College freshman, I am looking for a reliable place to stay when I visit. While the location of this hotel was great (away from the noise of town), the beds were extremely hard. The heat would come on loudly during the night in 15-second bursts, and while I don't exactly blame the hotel for this, there were unsupervised children running up and down the hall until 11:30 p.m. Toiletries in the bathroom were minimal and the hair dryer was a very low wattage. The breakfast buffet was o.k.; the made-to-order eggs were done well but the potatoes, sausages and bacon were not worth having.

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with the staff and the facility. The entire facility is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Courtyard beds are gaining a reputation for their comfort and these beds certainly fall into that category - may be the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The pool and the spa, while not being overly large, are definately adequate and offer a nice opportunity for relaxation after a busy day. We did not take advantage of the breakfast buffet, so I can only say that some of the other guests who did eat there were quite pleased. Overall, we were very pleased with this facility and would recommend it to others.

X.. Asked several times for recommendations for dining.. He always knew right where to go and we had the best dinners. Try THE PUB and The APPLACHIAN BREWING CO.. Also he provided us with a late check-in.. We got lost getting to the hotel, our GPC could not find it.. The room was very nice and comfortable. Strange placement of the TV but we wern't there to watch TV. The pool looked great is was consistantly packed with other guests. Also on the premises is a HUGE movie theatre. We got popcorn and took it back to our room.. Great idea..

We were visiting Gettysburg for the first time. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and had plenty of tips and maps for us. The bed was most likely the most comfortable I've ever slept in. (besides my own) We had the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was fantastic! everything was hot and fresh all the time. The pool was somewhat over chlorinated which was the only smudge on an otherwise PERFECT stay

Very nice for the price. The room was spacious, clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night so I can't comment on the pool. We did try to go to the lounge to have a drink, but it closed at 10. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time.
