  Our room for four people was no bigger than my daughter's bedroom. It was dark, there was no overhead lighting. The one lamp of the two next to the beds did not work. The bathroom shower did not convert to a tub. The room smelled terrible. We are still washing the smoke smell out of our clothes and bags. We might have to throw some luggage away. We did have the impression that we were using a non smoking room. It was what we booked. There is a small pool no deeper than four feet. Good for little ones, bad for big kids. The ducks were cute, but we do not like duck crap all over our shoes. DO NOT let your little child walk around barefoot. The people seemed nice, but they really need to get their act together and clean that hotel and brighten it up a bit.

  An unplanned unexpected wonderful experience! We were traveling with our 6 year old son and our dog on the way to Va beach when we decided to take a detour to see the wild ponies in Chincoteague. We stopped at The Light House Inn and they had a room and allowed dogs. They were more than accomodating . The room as comfortable and they even allowed us a later check out. Next time we plan our trip around Chincoteague Island and the Light House Inn.
