I was on my way to Estes Park with my nineteen year old daughter and thought this was a good deal. Was I wrong!The owner told me they were living there because they were homeless from a tornado in another state, and they would not bother us. I double-locked the door anyway. There are windows on the first floor to the back which anyone can break into and made us feel very unsafe. The carpet was filthy so we wore shoes to the bathroom, and the bed had rubber mattress covers under the sheets.

I've stayed in many budget rooms throughout the USA and Europe. This place lacked any cleanliness or security. It is located next to a truck stop and is clearly used for purposes that don't include sleeping. The proprietor was rude when we told him the room wasn't clean. He asked if WE had made the mess. The old key lock on the door looked like it had been kicked in at some point. We left to stay elsewhere...for less money.
