We had planned to stay at this hotel for only two nights over the Christmas holiday, but family concerns forced a longer stay. I ran out of Hilton Points after night three but got a great rate. The staff, when made aware of why we were staying, let us keep our Diamond upgrade for the entire stay without much of an increase in price. They bent over backwards to help us, from the housekeeping staff to the front desk personnel. We could not have been treated better. The rooms are exceptionally quiet, clean, and comfortable. The pillows aren't the greatest, as they are a bit thick for my taste, but everything else is very good for an outstanding price. The one thing about which I have regularly complained (I've stayed here multiple times in the last 18-months or so) is the breakfast. It's free, so I can't complain much. But the breakfast staff is a bit apathetic and the food runs out or is often not as hot as I'd like. However, what's there is usually tasty, our kids love it (the place is very kid-friendly) and this is now our family ""go-to"" hotel destination for Indiana University sports and family trips. I can't thank the staff enough for its courtesy to us in a difficult time over the holidays. They made us feel at home and took a lot of the pressure off a stressful time.

Clean, comfortable, roomy suites are a good value for the money, especially for this college town. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Includes a complimentary hot breakfast that was better than most. Small but serviceable pool and fitness room. 10 minutes or so from the IU campus; many restaurants and shopping nearby. Would stay here again.

We have stayed at several Bloomington hotels over the years while visiting our kids at college, but this one by far has been the nicest for the money. Very nice staff, great breakfast, and a well-appointed, comfortable room. One caveat: call the hotel for directions, as the directions on the Travel agent site did not make sense, at least for travelers coming from the north.

My son attends Indiana University, Homewood Suites is where we prefer to stay while visiting him. Our last visit was our 3rd stay at this hotel. The rooms are great for a family, two flat screen TV's and a full kitchen keep everyone happy. The room rates tend to fluctuate widely. From around $* when nothing is going on in town to around $* during family weekend, all for a one-bedroom suite. The breakfast is good, the evening cocktail hour/snacks (Mon-Thurs only, not avail during our last visit) are a nice break after a busy day. The business center only has one computer and there usually is a long line, the hotel could add another computer and printer. Also, as the hotel sits next to a car dealership (with bright lights on all night) heavier shades in the rooms facing the dealership would be nice. Other than that this is a great place to stay.
