    Our trip stay started with keys to a room that didn't work, and the front desk was unable to locate the proper keys.. We suggested the possiblity of them giving us another room as plenty of them were vacant and were told no and to just come by the front desk and someone would let us in to our room when we needed in. Working keys were issued to us the next day. The rooms are of the calibur of what you find in Dawson City....nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. We did eat dinner at the hotel. Way over priced and not very good, but the service was great. The bar staff could use a course in customer service......very rude in general. Unfortunately we will be staying else where our next trip to Dawson City.

    I was staying at the Downtown Hotel for the Gold Show this spring and wanted to write a quick note to say thanks, appreciate the colourful staff and the comfortable rooms. Just be weary of the Sour Toe!

    The rooms were great and the staff was very accommodating. the hotel features a great bar and a wonderful restaurant. be sure to try the ""toe"" when you're there!

    We decided to stay at the hotel based on the fact that they have a hot tub, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are very clean, we chose one with air conditioning which was worth it, who knew it could get to hot in Dawson city Yukon. We even tried the sourtoe cocktail, kind of weird but fun. We had a great time and enjoyed the great service.
