I booked a room on July 16th, 2009. I went to check in and noticed the pest folks spraying. I got my room key and was directed to the 2nd floor. The rooms were outside entry, which is normally not a problem. Walking up the fillthy stairs was a bit scary. I got to my room and the window was so dirty. I went inside and it really smelled. I looked around abit, let my bag on the desk, sealed of course, and let to work my show that I was in town for. The show ended at 7:00 and I was getting quite stressed about my accomidations. By 5:00, I called the Express Inn, booked a room, picked up my bag at the Budget Inn, left the key and cruised. I can only hope the Budget Inn Express will use the free money they got from me on some very serious cleaning supplies.

When I made my reservation for my 5-16-09 stay the site said there was a pool and playground. The indoor pool has now been convered into the owners apartment. They have couches and so forth setup around the pool I guess so they can just jump right in, in the morning but guests could no longer use it. The ""play ground"" consisted of 2 chairs and a little plastic table but not accessable to guests as the owners allow their two german shepard dogs to use it as a dog kennel. The staff though VERY friendly were also very dirty and unkept with greasy hair and over all personal hygine issues. The hotel on the outside had it not been to late to cacel my reservation wanted me to turn around and leave it was trashy looking.. HOWEVER and I do have something good to say. It was quiet, the rooms were actually clean and the beds comfortable.Will I say there again....NO WAY

Two guard dogs were barking when I showed up at the main office...that should have given me a clue...office was messy with about 12 tv's in the lobby, smelled, live in manager was in her nightie and robe. Room was relatively clean, had the basics, soap crumbled in my hands three times in five days, they forgot to clean the room one day, etc. Compared to the hotels today, this one is on my ""forget it"" list. Travel website should not use this hotel in the future...it is a direct reflection on them as well.
