I chose this hotel because it was 15 miles from Newport where my husband & I had a wedding to attend. Considering it was Memorial Day weekend, the cost was pretty inexpensive-$106. It's nice that there were anemities such as a microwave & refrigerator. However there was no hair dryer or iron. The room reaked of cigarette smoke when we 1st walked in. My husband & I don't smoke. There were ashtrays in the room...right below the smoke alarm. We were afraid the alarm didn't work & what if there was a fire? But we found out the alarm worked when we left the bathroom door open while showering without the fan on...Guess the smoke alarm doesn't like steam. We were only able to shower after we got some bath towels because when we 1st arrived there weren't any. My husband went to the front desk to ask for towels, the man said they should be there. The bathroom isn't that big & it's not like there's a linen closet, they just weren't there. The man said he'd come check for himself. Ok, so...he didn't believe us that we needed bath towels. He showed up 5 minutes later, looked in the bathroom & said oh. He left & came back w/towels & apologized. If it weren't for the fact that we were on a budget, we wouldn't check out of the room within 10 minutes of being there.

Everything about this place is awful!!! the room was dirty, the walpaper was pealing, and it smelled awful. The man at the front desk wasn't very nice and couldn't understand why I checked out only an hour after I got there. It was like his home was attached to the office. There were childrens' toys in the office and it wasn't clean either.
